shoppers called cops when they spotted george bartusek, 51, getting busy in the front seat of his 1998 lincoln town car, which was parked directly in front of a publix store.
evidence photos .... showing bartusek's inanimate partners were provided to tsg by the cape coral police department.

i have no recollection of where i obtained this book.
i know i would not have considered buying it as a jw, and a 2006 date of printing, assures that i have obtained it recently.

I read half of it and then lost it... but it definitely helped me get over Armageddon fears and JW chronology when I was just one month out of the JWs... I think OTWO had suggested it.

Might the Watchtower Society be preparing accept EVOLUTION soon?
by slimboyfat ini heard a public talk last week that was all about evolution and how it dishonours god, and it struck me just how out of date and confused many of the ideas presented were.
the speaker used the old example of the giraffe's neck, but made the classic mistake of mixing up darwin's theory of natural selection and lamarckism by poking fun at the idea a neck stretched through use could be passed on to offspring.
i wondered how an otherwise intelligent person (as this speaker is) could make such an elementary mistake.. it occurs to me that the society has been writing less and less against evolution in recent years, so there is less up-to-date ammunition for brothers to draw upon in talks.

I am just doing that myself. I am an atheist, but not a staunch evolutionist, which is why I pointed out the distinction in reference to Hoobie's OP.
Right now I am reading a book by Michael Shermer... Why People Believe Wierd Things... it addresses a number of things, including the evo/creation debate. he also has a book on evolution (which I found too brief and somewhat simplistic).
My next book will be The Blind Watchmaker by Dawkins. I definitely don't believe in the intelligent design argument, and evolution makes much more sense the more I learn about it. What made me consider evolution's possiblity was a trip to the Natural History Museum of Chicago.. their evolution exhibit just blew the ID theory away without even mentioning it.

I wonder if Hooberus (i'm tempted, but I'm not going to name-sling) has read about Darwinian evolutionary theory, as in a book written by evolutionists? Or has he just limited himself to Creationist works with cherry-picked WTS style quotes, using intellectual dishonesty to make scientists seem like they support intelligent design?

To clarify my point earlier. Many people were atheists before Darwin, so Atheism is not subject to evolution.
